Manchester United has agreed to a verbal agreement with Juventus striker Mario Mandzukic, according to report.

The Red Devils struck a deal with the veteran forward about a January move to Premier League, he turned down a £7million-a-year deal with Qatari side Al-Rayyan in a bid to remain in an elite club.

The 33-year-old was a subject of interest for Manchester United in the last summer but the deal failed due to differences in terms with the Old Trafford directors.

The report in Tuttosport says Mandzukic's camp has an agreement in place with United, who he will join on January 1.

The Croatian forward was dropped from Juventus 25-man Champions League squad and that could propel a move away from the Serie A giants.
