Mario Balotelli began life in France with a bang as he scored twice on his OGC Nice debut when he helped the club beat Marseille 3-2 at the Stade Municipal.

The 26-year-old who has suffered a massive deep in form over the cause of the last two seasons did not waste time to settle as he opened scoring in the seventh minute of the match.

Marseille fought back as Former Newcastle United midfielder Florian Thauvin levelled scores in the 38th minute. However, it was the former Manchester City and Liverpool star, Balotelli that gave his side the lead as he netted a penalty.
