Real Madrid target shuns Bernabeu, wants EPL move

Real Madrid target Timo Werner is set to shun a move to Santiago Bernabeu in a bid to move to the Premier League, according to report.

The RB Leipzig striker has been one of the hottest attackers in Europe and his performance has attracted the like Real Madrid and Chelsea.

His form has fired RB Leipzig to the top of the Bundesliga table after the first half of the season, the attacker has registered 18 goals this season just a goal behind Bayern Munich Robert Lewandowski.

Werner looked to snub a move to Real Madrid and he has his sight to play in the Premier League.

Chelsea is keen to add some firepower to their attack and he has been scouted by the Blues for a possible move to England, and Werner told German newspaper Bild: 'The Premier League is certainly the most interesting league, you have to say.

'There is a certain flair to watching the English league and playing there.'

However, with Real also being linked with a £68million move for Werner this summer, the 23-year-old was quick not to rule out a potential switch to La Liga. 

He added: 'But many Germans have also been very successful in Spain, such as Sami Khedira and Mesut Ozil think.' 

Leipzig will be reluctant to seal a deal for the attacker in the winter as they look to wrestle the Bundesliga away from Bayern Munich before he talks about a move, he is 'not worried' about securing a move away in January. 

'As of now I have no desire to look for a move elsewhere,' he said.

Leipzig will continue their adventures in the Bundesliga when they welcome Union Berlin on Saturday at the Red Bull Are
