Reports from Spain suggest Brazilian star Neymar Jr and Lionel Messi could throw Barcelona into a power power struggle in the summer as both stars are seeking different players as the club's marquee signing in the coming summer transfer window.

Neymar according to SunSports wants Philippe Coutinho while Messi who many believe influences certain decisions at the Camp Nou wants Juventus man Paulo Dybala as Barcelona get set for a summer transfer power tussle.

It is believed Neymar has been working hard to persuade Philippe Coutinho to leave Liverpool and move to the Nou Camp while the pair were on international duty with Brazil. However, Mundo Deportivo claim Messi is also worked his charm on Paulo Dybala during Argentina’s tumultuous World Cup qualifying double-header.

The report insists that the Juventus ace is waiting to hear Barcelona’s intentions before deciding whether to sign a new deal.

It claims he has ordered his agent to enquire as to how much the Catalans would be willing to spend on him and then inform his current club to insert that fee as a buy-out clause in any contract negotiation.

Severe financial constraints mean Barcelona would only be able to afford one of Dybala or Coutinho in the summer.

The Juventus frontman is also open to a switch to Real Madrid, but understands he would be Zinedine Zidane’s second-choice behind Eden Hazard.

And, despite interest from the likes Manchester United, Man City and Chelsea, he would prefer a move to La Liga.
