Mbappe's three hour meeting with Wenger revealed

AS Monaco forward, Kylian Mbappe reportedly had three hour meeting with Arsene Wenger over possible move to Arsenal this summer.

France Football claims the Monaco star is a top target for the Gunners, even though they’ve already signed compatriot Alexandre Lacazette.

It’s said that Mbappe and Wenger met on June 14 after France and England’s international friendly in Paris. The Arsenal boss allegedly told Mbappe that he should be aiming for an Emirates move in order to further develop his career, according to SunSport.

Real Madrid are also interested but Wenger believes he can offer the youngster the football he needs to progress into a world-class player.

However, Arsenal will need to dig deep after already seeing an £87million bid rejected. The report adds the Gunners may have to shell out a world-record £130m for Mbappe’s signature instead.

And there are further complications, with the player himself preferring a move to Real. Aside from Lacazette, left-back Sead Kolasinac is the only other arrival in north London.

But Arsenal are edging closer to Mbappe’s Monaco team-mate Thomas Lemar and also fancy Toulouse’s highly-rated young goalkeeper Alban Lafont.

However, Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil are yet to agree new contracts as they enter the final year of their respective deals.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain looks certain to leave the Emirates as he searches for guaranteed first-team football.
