Gabriel Martinelli scores twice as Arsenal demolishing Nottingham Forest 5-0 in the Carabao Cup third at the Emirate Stadium on Tuesday night.
The 18-year-old Brazilan arrived North London outfit nodded a bullet header into the net against Nottingham Forest in the 31 minutes of the encounter.
Arsenal doubled their lead in the 71st minute when Riess Nielson whipped in a corner that was nodded in by Rob Holding to mark his return with a goal since suffering an injury against Manchester United in December.
Forest's resistance was broken as six minutes later as Arsenal put the game to bed when Hector Bellerin who had just been on the pitch for minutes put in a cut back cross to Joe Willock to top home from six yards out as the youngsters' continued with their goal scoring exploits in the game.
Unai Emery's men were not taking their foot off the gas as they bagged their fourth in the 84th minute when Reiss Nelson brilliantly guided Callum Chambers low cross across the face of goal to continue the fine week that Chambers has had after scoring in the 3-2 comeback win over Aston Villa.
The final nail in Forest's coffin was nailed by Martinelli who announced himself to the Emirates faithful with a brace after a fine solo run with ended with a sumptuous finish to the top corner with that man again Chambers supplying the assist.
