Manchester United is prepared to battle Manchester City for Leicester City defender Calgar Soyuncu, according to report in Turkish outlet Fanatik.
Manchester United previous outsmart the Premier League Champions in the race to sign Harry Maguire in the summer and both teams are in the race to sign another Leicester City defender.
Leicester is open to the deal but both suitors will have to break the transfer record for a central defender to have the Turkish star in their team.

Soyuncu has been instrumental for Leicester City's great upturn this season, seamlessly filling in the gap left by Maguire's departure in the last summer.
The source claims that it would take around £43 million for a club to sign Soyuncu in January, a figure both teams can confidently pay considering the financial strength of the teams.
Manchester City wants to replace their former captain Vincent Kompany who retired at the end of last season, with Nicolas Otamendi and John Stones having challenges to fill the void left by the Belgian defender.
