According to Daily Express reports “those talks have helped to speed up negotiations between the two clubs” with Real set to accept a figure of around £60million for the 24-year-old rather than the £70million they were holding out for.

Spanish international Morata is hoping regular playing time will help him guarantee himself shirt in the La Roja squad in next year World Cup in Russia.

The report claims Manchester United managerJose Mourinho has made it clear he wants Morata to replace the departed Swedish legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic and he wants the forward to become Red Devils focal point after convincing the player he is “ideally suited for English football”.

Cadena Ser’s El Larguero show reported two week’s ago that an agreement between both clubs and the player was “very close”.

Manchester United was believed to have offered the La Liga and Champions League winner a four or five-year deal to replace former Ac Milan and Barcelona striker Ibrahimovic, who was not offered a new deal after injuring his cruciate knee injury.
