MAN CITY VS WATFORD: Team news, probable lineup & prediction

Manchester City will play Watford in their next Premier League game on Sunday at the Etihad Stadium as they look to bounce back from their defeat against Crystal Palace.

TEAM NEWS:

MANCHESTER CITY:

The host will miss the services of the John Stones who is expected to be sidelined for a month, the defender suffered a muscular injury in training ahead of the Champions League game against Shakhtar Donetsk.

Long- term absentees include Aymeric Laporte and Leroy Sane are expected to remain on the sideline for the next six months.

WATFORD:

Craig Cathcart suffered a thigh injury he sustained during the international game for Northern Ireland and he is one of the players to miss for the Hornets when they face Manchester City, team captain Troy Deeney is another player that would miss the trip to Etihad Stadium Stadium.

HEAD TO HEAD:

Manchester City, of course, had a better head to head record against Watford with 21 games between them, they won 14 while Watford won four and three ended in a draw.

The Premier League Champions suffered a shock defeat in their last Premier League game against Crystal Palace but after the defeat they put up a convincing show against Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League with a 3-0 win in Ukraine.

WATFORD:

Enrique "Quique" Sánchez’s men put up a good second-half performance against Arsenal in their last time out, when they came from 2-0 down in the first half to score two goals in the last 45 minutes to earn a draw against the Gunners in the Premier League.

Though they have been struggling in their last six games, they have just only one win in those games, three defeat and just a win recorded.
