MAN CITY 2-0 DIN. ZAGREB: City fight hard to secure a win

Raheem Sterling came from the bench to score and created an assist for Phil Folden in the Manchester City 2-0 win against Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday.

Manchester City was close to getting the opener but Ilkay Gundogan's effort was denied by the crossbar in the 21st minute after a brilliant move from the left-wing.

Dinamo Zagreb did well to hold Manchester City attackers after 25 minutes of play.

Manchester City dominated the game but they were unable to penetrate the defence of the visitors in the opening 45 minutes.

The first half ended 0-0 as Dinamo Zagreb ensured they stopped all Manchester City attack to prevent the host from going on top.

Dinamo Zagreb started from where they left it in the first half as they stick to their defensive gameplay as they chock the backline.

Pep Guardiola made his first substitute as he brings in Raheem Sterling for Bernardo Silva in the 55th minute of the clash.

The visitors were solid defensively but Manchester City had the breakthrough in the via Sterling after Riyad Mahrez played in the 66th minute to give the home team the lead.

The home team held the slim lead to earn the three points at the Etihad Stadium.
