LIV 3-1 MAN CITY: VAR controversies ruin Man City's game

Liverpool defeated Manchester City 3-1 at Anfield in the Premier League on Sunday, a match that was ruined by VAR controversies, Jurgen Klopp's men go nine points clear on top of the table.

Liverpool announced their self with an opening goal in the 7th minute following a rebound from Fabinho after Manchester City appeal for a handball was turned down.

Manchester City conceded the second goal after Andrew Robertson whipped in a cross that was well connected by Mohamed Salah with a header that sent Claudio Bravo the other side in the opening 14 minutes of the clash.

Angelino was close to getting the goal for Manchester City but he was denied by the pole after a brilliant teamwork.

Sergio Aguero had a chance to score for Manchester City but his effort went narrowly off the mark. Manchester City had a better ball possession but Liverpool had 2-0 lead after the first half.

Liverpool got to the flying start in the second half following another goal from Sadio Mane in the 50th minute.

Manchester City pressed forward to get a goal but the Liverpool defence was rock solid to wave all the attacking threat from the Premier League Champions.

Pep Guardiola opted to make a change has he brought in Gabriel Jesus for Aguero in the 70th minute. Manchester City finally got their goal after a brilliant shot from Bernardo Silva in the 78th minute.

Manchester City was denied a penalty after the striker kicked the ball on Trent- Arnold's hand in the box.
