Chelsea manager Frank Lampard is set to revisit his decision after the defeat 1-0 against Newcastle United at the Saint-James Park on Saturday.

Chelsea was looking likely to score throughout the match but it was Newcastle United that got the better side of the visitors with a goal in the stoppage stage from Isaac Hayden as Blues suffered their eighth defeat in the Premier League.

Lampard was quizzed about signing a striker after his team failed to get a goal against Newcastle United and he said: "If we are looking for people to bring in to the areas to win games when you are controlling it, it is scoring goals," he told Sky Sports.

Asked if there are any impending arrivals, Lampard said: "It doesn't matter until it's done.

"I'm quite clear about where I know where we need to strengthen. We shall see."
