JUST IN: Man City agree to pay club record for Atletico star

Manchester City agrees to pay club record £62.5million for Atletico Madrid midfielder Rodri, according to reports.

The 22-year-old Spain international who has been compared to Barcelona great Sergio Busquets is considered a long-term replacement for the 2010 World Cup winner in the national team set up.

According to Sky Sports claims that Premier League Champions are ready to meet Rodri release clause of £62.5m (which becomes active from 30 June) by overtaking 60 million pounds paid for former PFA Player of the Year Riyad Mahrez last summer from Leicester City.
