England legend reacts to Iwobi historic goal in UEL final

England and Barcelona legend Gary Lineker has reacted to Alex Iwobi historic goal in Arsenal 4-1 loss to Chelsea in the final of the Europa League on Wednesday night in Baku.

The 23-year-old Super Eagles forward was one of the few bright sparks as the Gunners threw away another chance to qualify for the Champions League, and several fans questioned the decision to name him on the bench, especially as German playmaker Mesut Ozil struggled during the game.

Iwobi scores stunning strike after making a substitute appearance after coming in for Lucas Torreira in the 67th minute, which sees 1986 FIFA World Cup Golden Boot winner said via Twitter handle.

Iwobi became the first Nigerian player to score in the final of European club competition final and also the first substitute to score in a Europa League final since Jônatas for Espanyol in 2007.
