Chelsea ace Conor Gallagher has sealed a loan move away from Stamford Bridge to Swansea City for the rest of the season after he was initially recalled on Charlton Athletic.

The 19-year-old midfielder scored six goals in 26 appearances for The Addicks after he secured a loan move to the club last August.

England Under -21 international has joined The Swans for a loan spell after Chelsea halted his spell with his previous club.

"I want to help Swansea get in the play-offs because I definitely think we are capable of doing that," he said.

"With this squad, if we get a good run of games, we could even get an automatic promotion because I don't think you want to be ruling anything out."

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard will monitor the progress of the midfielder closely as he feels the youngster still has a future at the Stamford Bridge.
