Barca ace wants out of Camp Nou as Man Utd & Juve on alert

Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic will seek a move away from Camp Nou in the January transfer window if he remained to be dropped to the bench for the rest of the year.

Rakitic gradually went from been an important player in Barcelona to a fringe player after the signing of Arthur Melo and Frenkie de Jong, the Croat has also dropped immensely in the pecking order with Sergio Busquets, De Jong and Arthur considered ahead of him and the former Sevilla star looks to give his future a thought at the Camp Nou.

Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde prevented the midfielder from joining Paris Saint-Germain last season after convincing the player to remain at Barcelona and during the last summer transfer period Rakitic was constantly linked with a move to Ligue 1 as the board considered to offload him in a deal that would see Neymar come to the opposite direction, but he had no intention of leaving and made that clear to the club.

Rakitic has two years left on his deal and he could be affected with Barcelona plans to re-invest in their squad.

Manchester United and Juventus have expressed their interest in the midfielder, who wants to feature regularly, as he aims to play both in Euro 2020 and the 2022 World Cup with his national team.
