Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic will seek a move away from Camp Nou in the January transfer window if he remained to be dropped to the bench for the rest of the year.

Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde prevented the midfielder from joining Paris Saint-Germain last season after convincing the player to remain at Barcelona and during the last summer transfer period Rakitic was constantly linked with a move to Ligue 1 as the board considered to offload him in a deal that would see Neymar come to the opposite direction, but he had no intention of leaving and made that clear to the club.
