ARS 2-2 TOT: Spurs blew away a two-goal lead

Arsenal fought back to earn a draw at the Emirate Stadium against Tottenham Hotspur in the North London Derby on Sunday after the visitors threw away a two-goal lead.

Tottenham Hotspur broke the deadlock in the 10th minute after Heung-Son Min attempt was saved by the Arsenal goalkeeper Leno but a rebound fell to Christain Eriksen who made no mistake to tap it in from the close range.

Both teams played end to end attacking game with Spurs coming close on two occasion with Leno making some spectacular saves to prevent the away team from adding more goals in the opening 25 minutes of the clash.

Arsenal forced Tottenham to defend from the corner kick spot after they had three home team had three corner kicks from in the 28th minute of the game.

Arsenal placed more possession game while Spurs relied on a counter attacker approach as Leno was forced into a series of saves.

The home team conceded a penalty after Granit Xhaka fouled Son in the area, Harry Kane had a chance to add to his goal tally and the English attacker made no mistake from the spot to make it 2-0 for Spurs.

Alexandre Lacazette reduced the deficit in the added time of the first half to make it 2-1 at the end of the first 45 minutes.

Arsenal started the second half in an attacking mode with the home team finding the equaliser in the early minute of the second half.

Arsenal kept pressing the visitor in the opening 10 minutes of the second half, with the home team finding the rhythm in front of their home fans.

Mauricio Pochettino made the first substitute of the game as he brought in Dele Alli for Erik Lamela in the 59th minute.

Unai Emery made a substitution as Dani Ceballos was brought in to replace Torreira in the 63rd minute.

Ceballos forced Hugo Lloris into a save from a long-range strike, Lacazzette was substituted for Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the 67th minute.

Aubameyang equalised for Arsenal in the 71st minute, the Gabonese forward ran into Guendozi's cross to tap in to make it 2-2 for the home team.

Lo Celo was introduced for Son in the 78th minute as Spurs aimed to add more strength to the team.

The game ended in a 2-2 draw after 90 minutes.
