Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has identified two replacement for Maurizio Sarri if he fails to secure the Champions League football t the end of the season.

Chelsea is currently sixth on the Premier League log and Sarri could find it extremely difficult to rival Arsenal and Manchester United for the fourth spot on the table.

Sarri is banking on his team's good run of form in the Europa League competition to make the cut to the Champion League next season.

The Sun claim should Sarri fail to secure them a place in Europe’s elite competition, owner Roman Abramovich will be left with no choice but to show him the door.

The reports claim the club have already started looking at potential replacements with Derby boss Frank Lampard and Wolves coach Nuno Espirito Santo top of their list.

Lampard is seeking for promotion with Derby County in his first job with The Rams in the sixth in the table.

Meanwhile, Santo has done well in the Premier League this season with his attacking football seeing Wolves sit comfortably in seventh.

Sarri recently admitted he felt ‘alone’ when results don’t go his way.

“I know very well that, in my job, you are always alone,” said the Italian.

“Here, in Naples, in Empoli… everywhere, you depend only on the results.

“For me, it’s normal to have the feeling of being alone.

For every coach, you are with the others only if you win. When you lose, you are alone.”

And while some of his players were either away on international duty or having a few days of rest during the recent break, Sarri admits he has not taken his foot off the gas.

“I don’t switch off. Why try? I worked during the break. I watched the last five or six of our matches,” he added.

“I saw our future opponents. So I tried to work in the same way. When there is a match, when there is training, for me everything is very important.

“So I want to stay at the same level in the mind for 11 months.”
