Incoming transfer reports indicate that Moscow outfit, Spartak are on the verge of signing Chelsea right full-back, Victor Moses on either a loan on a permanent deal, championat.com reports.
Former Lokomotiv Moscow director Illya Gerkus confirmed on Friday that the Nigerian could be heading to Russia after talks reached an advance stage with Chelsea.
“Of all the options that Spartak are considering for the right-back position, Moses is the closest to the transition today,” he said
Moses had been on loan at Turkish side Fenerbahce but heads to Inter to reunite with former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte.
Conte successfully converted Moses from a winger to a wing-back during his two years at Stamford Bridge, and the Nigerian played a key role in the Blues’ Premier League title win in 2017
The former Crystal Palace, Liverpool and West Ham United played 17 matches under Conte and later became surplus to requirements at San Siro, but a move to Spartak could be sealed in the coming days or weeks.
Spartak occupy 2nd place in the Russian championship table with 21 points from 10 matches, but Zenit which has the same points leads on goal difference.
