Glasgow Rangers fans believe Super Eagles midfielder, Joe Aribo would reclaim his starting spot in Steven Gerrard’s side once his injury woes are over, Glasgow Live reports.
Aribo has continued to recuperate from injury having been sidelined for nine weeks, but the fans are optimistic that the dreaded midfielder is one of Gerrard’s starting eleven.
A poll conducted by Glasgow Live revealed that Aribo remains the toast of club fans given his midfield choreography and penchant for goals this season.
Rangers’ manager Steven Gerrard added Bongani Zungu to lists of new buys on deadline day, while Jack Wilshere is being linked with the club, but the fans did not see the Zungu or Wilshere as a huge threat to Aribo’s place in the team.
Although, Gerrard prefer a three midfield formation, and with Ryan Jack, Steven Davis, Glen Kamara, Scott Arfield, Joe Aribo and Zungu in the pack, the Rangers’ boss is left with different options.
However, there is no place for new signing Zungu, Airfield and Davis, in the fans’ team, Instead, the favoured midfield trio is Jack, Kamara and Aribo.
