Two Nigerian players of Paul Onuachu and Junior Pius has been named in the Team of Week in Belgium.
The 26-year-old Genk striker delivered an eye-catching performance at Luminus Arena, after scoring a brace to help his side clinch their first win of the season with 3-1 victory over Mechelen on Sunday.
However, Pius first scored in the 62nd minute with a header, before he grabbed his brace in the 77th minute to helped Royal Antwerp to a 2-2 scored draw against KAS Eupen.
It was a great way for the big central defender to announce his arrival in Belgium, where the headlines have often been won by Nigerian strikers.
The 24-year-old Pius has played for several clubs in Portugal before he joined Antwerp in July 2019 with his contract run till 2023.
Onuachu has now took his goal tally in the league to four in five games after Sunday’s game.
