Saint-Etienne had a dream start in Sunday’s away tie as the shot into the lead in the 2nd minute through Adil Aouchiche before Yvann Macon doubled their lead on 66 minutes.
However, they could not hold on to their lead as Nantes mount a fightback and got a share of the spoils.
That nonetheless, Nantes are still winless in their last two league games and have won one game in four league fixtures this season.
The draw means Nantes are now 14th on five points in the league table and would have to double up their effort to avoid fleeting with relegation early in the season
