Super Eagles midfielder, Oghenekaro Etebo made a winning debut for Galatasaray as they pip Turkish Super Lig champions Istanbul Basaksehir 2-0 at the Fatih Terim Stadium.
The 24-year-old who joined Galatasaray on loan from English Championship side, Stoke City for the 2020/2021 season played for 19 minutes after replacing Sofiane Feghouli in the 71st minute.
“Excited to be part of this great victory and thanks to the supporting fans,” Etebo tweeted after the match.
Former Manchester United striker Radamel Falcao gave the visitor the lead via the penalty spot and Moroccan Younes Belhanda ensured all three points for Galatasaray with a second half goal.
After two rounds of matches, Galatasaray are currently top of the log with six points while Istanbul Basaksehir sit bottom of the table, having lost both of their matches.
