Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi earned praise from Leicester City manager, Brendan Rodgers for helping his side to a 3-0 victory over West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns.
The Foxes were without the suspended Jonny Evans and injury Wes Morgan and manager Brendan Rodgers called on Ndidi to pair Caglar Soyuncu at center back while Kelechi Iheanacho was benched.
Speaking to reporters after the match, Rodgers said: “Outstanding. He’s played 60 minutes there in a pre-season friendly. He did play there earlier in his career. He’s got the profile to play there – he’s big with a good leap.
“Even if he’d played there all his life it would be tough coming back from everyone playing different systems with national teams. It would always be difficult to be cohesive after a couple of days training.”
Leicester City joint top of the premier league log with Arsenal while West Brom are bottom.
