Andre Silva has completed his permanent switch from AC Milan to Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Frankfurt that will see him stay at the club until the summer of 2023.
The announcement came out of the blue this evening and the Sansiro side is expecting Ante Rebic in exchange. Interestingly, both players exchanged places on two-year loans last summer, without options to buy.
“AC Milan announces the transfer of the player Andre Miguel Valente da Silva to Eintracht Frankfurt on a permanent deal,” read a statement.
“The Club wishes him all the best in his future endeavours and thanks him for his professionalism.”
Silva was signed from FC Porto in 2017 for €38m, but never quite lived up to that price-tag. The 24-year-old Portugal international forward had a loan spell at Sevilla in 2018-19 before the move to Germany and has now signed a contract with the Bundesliga side to June 2023.
Silva scored just 10 goals in 41 games for AC Milan, but 16 in 37 appearances for Frankfurt during the 2019/2020 season.
