Chelsea is on the verge of completing a deal for two players on a free transfer with the Blues reaching a personal agreement with Nice Malang Sarr.
The Stamford Bridge outfit is also in talks with departing Paris Saint-Germain captain Thiago Silva after the Brazilian defender was released by the Ligue 1 side at the end of the current campaign.
Sarr,21, is a young stopper and a free agent and the report in Telefoot says he is now a step away from committing to Chelsea.
The French defender has reported having signed a five-year contract with Blues officials, he was also linked with Arsenal in the recent weeks.
Silva is expected to join the Blues if talks go as planned before the start of the new season.
Chelsea is also in the race to sign Bayern Leverkusen midfielder Kai Havertz after completing the deal to bring Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner to Chelsea from Ajax and RB Leipzig respectively.
