Newly promoted premier league side, Fulham are reportedly keen to sign Barcelona defender Gerard Pique this summer.
The Cottagers returned to the Premier League after victory against Brentford in football’s richest game. The Championship play-off final is reportedly worth an estimated £135 million and the West London want to use it to fortify their squad for next season.
Pique is allegedly one of a number of players available for transfer this summer as new manager Ronald Koeman begin to rebuild the Catalan side ahead of the 2020-21 season.
According to Libero, Fulham have already made an offer for the experienced central defender with the hope of bringing him back to England following his initial stints with Manchester United between 2004 and 2008, although he only made 12 Premier League appearances for the Red Devils before returning to Camp Nou.
The report claims that it is now up to Barcelona to decide whether to accept the bid for the 33-year-old, although it is unclear whether Pique would be interested in a move to Craven Cottage.
Pique has played 543 times in all competitions for Barcelona and in the just concluded 2019-20 season he made 45 appearances.
