Van Dijk was a key part of the Dutch team and the captain under the new Barcelona boss, featuring in nine games for his country last year.
Barcelona was forced to restructuring after the heavy defeat against Bayern Munich in the Champions League and the new manager bis charged with the responsibility of restructuring the team ahead of the coming season.
Koeman would be interested in working with Van Dijk at Barcelona but the defender won’t be leaving anytime soon having established himself as one of the best in centre back position.
