According to Manchester Evening News (MEN), former Super Eagles forward, Odion Ighalo is not interested in a move to French champions Paris Saint-German this summer.
The 31-year-old joined Manchester United on an initial loan from Chinese Super League side, Shanghai Shenhua and at the end of June extended the loan until the end of January 2021.
Ighalo is one of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s favourites and he is loved in the dressing room by teammates. The Nigerian has contributed five goals in 18 appearances for the Red Devils in all competitions so far.
However, reports in France claimed that PSG want Ighalo as replacement for Edinson Cavani, who left the club after the expiration of his contract. Representatives of the French champions have even made initial contact with Ighalo’s representatives over a possible summer move.
But MEN Sports understands Ighalo is keen to continue playing for his boyhood club and Manchester United have no intention of cutting short the striker’s loan spell at Old Trafford.
Ighalo played as a late substitute for Manchester United as they lost 2-1 against Sevilla in the semifinals of the Europa Leagues.
