Super Eagles midfielder, Joe Aribo joined Leon Balogun on the treatment table as they were both absent when Rangers dropped points for the first time this season in the goalless draw against Livingston at the weekend.
The Gers began the season in excellent form with three wins but failed to continue that run at Tony Macaroni Arena.
Balogun was missing due to the injury he sustained during the Scottish premier league match against St. Johnstone. The Super Eagles defender has proved to be a bargain since he joined the Gers on a one-year deal with an option for an additional season, earning a place in the Team of the Week after a spectacular debut against Aberdeen.
Aribo took a slight knock in training and manager Steve Gerrard decided not to risk the midfielder and replaced him with Filip Helander. Aribo is expected to return for the next match against Kilmarnock at the Ibrox Stadium on August 22.
The absence of the Nigerian duo was felt as Rangers failed to breakdown their opponent and the match ended 0-0. Rangers still sit top of the Scottish Premier League with 12points while Livingston are placed 10th with just two points.
