Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare scored twice again in Valmiera 3-2 comeback win over FK Spartaks in a Latvian Virsliga tie.

The 19-year-old star put his side ahead in the 11 minutes of the encounter at Slokas Stadium before Nemanja Belakovi level it for the home team four minutes later.

FK Spartaks added their second two minutes later, thanks to a superb finish from the 21-year-old Nicaraguan footballer Ariagner Smith.

However, the league top scorer Arokodare completes his brace three minutes before half-time for Valmiera when he smashing his 14 goals of the season to make it 2-2.

Daniils Skopenko scored the winner in the 57 minutes of the encounter with cool finishing after a goalkeeping error.

Arokodare has leveled with Tosin Aiyegun who held the record for most goals by a Nigerian in a single season in the Latvian Virsliga since 2015.

The Youngers will be hoping to continue his scoring form when Valmiera welcome Liepaja at Vidzemes Olimpiskais Centrs Sia on Sunday encounter.
