Super Eagles midfielder Joe Aribo scored his first goal of the 2020/2021 Scottish Premier League as Rangers hammered St. Johnstone 3-0 with compatriot Leon Balogun playing for 45minutes due to injury.
The 24-year-old has continued to develop into a fine midfielder under the guidance of Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard and his assistant McAllister and showed it with his all-round performance on Wednesday night.
Borna Barisic opened scoring for the home side and turned provider for the next as Ryan Kent made it 2-0 just before half-time. Balogun was substituted after 45minutes due to injury. The away side did not pose much trouble for the Gers and Aribo ensured that it was an emphatic win with a brilliant header to make it 3-0.
Rangers has picked nine points from their first three matches of the season and sit top of the league.
