Former Nigerian international Dosu Joseph believes that Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen will score lots of goals for his new club, Napoli during the 2020/2021 season.
The 21-year-old enjoyed a fantastic 2019/2020 season, scoring 18 goals with six assists in 38 matches for Lille in all competitions and that caught the attention of top European sides like Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea but he chose a move to Naples.
“Osimhen’s move to Napoli is a good one for him,” Dosu told SportingLife. “He is a young boy with determination – he will continue to improve. He is more experienced now after doing so well in France. I believe he will score goals in Napoli.”
The Nigerian became one of the highest earning African stars when he penned a 5-year-old deal with Napoli worth €80m.
The Olympic Gold medalist said: “The transfer fee won’t affect him. He knows what he has to do. His mission will be to perform on the pitch, so he can earn better than his current fees if he has to move to another club in years to come.
“So, I don’t believe figures will affect him but I believe his concentration is what is important. People around him will surely let him know that he needs to score, which I believe he will.”
