Leicester City forward, Jamie Vardy has finished the 2019/2020 Premier League season with the Golden Boot and becomes the oldest player in history with that award.
The 33-year-old did not score in the final match of the season against Manchester United which meant the Foxes missed out of UEFA Champions League places but he won’t feel incredibly bad after a brilliant season.
Vardy is the second Leicester player to finish a top flight season as the leading or joint-leading goalscorer, after Gary Lineker (24 in 1984/85, level alongside Chelsea’s Kerry Dixon).
And at 33 years old, Vardy is also the oldest winner of the Premier League Golden Boot, taking the record from Didier Drogba, who was 32 when he won the award in 2009/10.
Golden Boot final standings
