Smarting from their 2-0 loss to Fiorentina in the Italian Serie A, Super Eagles and Torino left-full back, Ola Aina has bemoaned his side’s failure to pick valuable points in Florence.
He told Tuttomecartowebb that the player’s put in their best in a bid to come out on a winning note but their efforts were not good enough to earn valuable points.
Aina, therefore, urged his teammates to ste up their efforts in remaining fixtures to ensure Torino finish the season on a good note.
“The team tried very hard, but unfortunately we were unable to bring home the desired points. A lot of things worked against our game plan and this complicated things.
“The second goal made everything even more difficult. But we never stopped playing and we tried to reopen the game until the last few hours.
” In these days we have to work hard to play higher and be more present in the area but unfortunately it was not enough “.
The future of Ola Aina at Italian Serie A club, Torino is still hanging in the balance.
Torino is monitoring River Plate’s Argentina international right-back, Gonzalo Montiel with a view to a transfer in the summer.
