In an exclusive chat with FCnaija on Sunday, the former Leeds United strong man expressed his relief and delight at seeing his former club return to the big league after 16 years wait and expressed confidence in the ability of the club to compete for honours next season.

” I can’t emphasis more on how huge a football club like Leeds are. I’m delighted for the fans and city.#dancing Premiership is back to Leeds, said the former Portsmouth and Watford defender.
West Brom’s defeat at Huddersfield on Friday confirmed Leeds’ long-awaited return to the top-flight, before Brentford’s failure to beat Stoke on Saturday to seal the title for Marcelo Bielsa’s side.
Leeds have enjoyed an impressive campaign after bouncing back from last season’s play-off heartache to clinch promotion, returning to the top flight for the first time since 2004. In that time there have been several near misses, while they also spent three years in League One between 2007 and 2010.
It has been a long and often tortuous road back for Leeds but after ending 16 years of anguish with the Championship title, few could begrudge them their place back at the top table of English football.
