Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos has made a shocking confession after helping Los Blancos to clinch their 34th La Liga title on Thursday evening.
Real Madrid defeated Villarreal 3-1 at the Alfredo di Stefano Stadium to win the title race and Ramos was very instrumental to Zinedine Zidane’s side having scored some of Los Blancos decisive goals that helped the team to earn 30 points in 10 consecutive games.
Ramos impressive form has moved the club president, Florentino Perez, to express his willingness to keep the captain or the rest of his playing career and the defender backed up those comments.
“I’d like to end my career here,” Ramos said after the win over Villarreal.
“I don’t think there’s any problem [with the contract].
“I’m going to be here as long as the president wants me.”
Zidane is also keen on the club meeting Ramos’ demand having put in a stellar performance throughout the campaign.
Ramos is one of the best defenders of his generation if not the best.
