Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu has won many games but this latest ‘victory’ is even more important as he has now tested negative for coronavirus after he was declared Covid19 positive earlier this month.
The cheering news of Onuachu’s status was shared by the manager of his Belgian club side Genk, Hannes Wolf, on Thursday morning.
With this development, Onuaachu may make a quick return to action on Friday in Genk’s friendly against Excelsior.
He will also be available for Nigeria, as the Super Eagles get their 2022 Africa Cup of Nations and Qatar 2022 World Cup qualification quests underway.
Onuachu was the second Nigerian footballer to contract coronavirus after Akpan Udoh, the first footballer to be infected, in February.
