Nigeria’s age-long dynasty at Fenerbahce is not likely to come to an end anytime soon as Turkish giants Fenerbahce have signified their intention to snap up Chuba Akpom in the summer.
Fanatik reported that Fener is highly impressed with Akpom’s scoring records and have commenced negotiation with the player’s manager over what the striker would earn in Turkey.
The 24-year-old striker scored 10 goals in 41 games and made 3 assists this season with PAOK. Akpom also started in 21 of 41 games for the Greek outfit.
Chuba Akpom was a product of Arsenal academy where he made his name known with its performance in the club’s U23 team and scored 33 goals in 50 games with 5 assists.
The 1.86-long football powerhouse who joined t PAOK for 1 million Euros in the 2018/19 season is still looking forward to making his debut for Nigeria after pledging his international allegiance to the former African champions.
The 24-year-old announced his intention to play for the Super Eagles in September 2019 after previously representing England at youth levels.
Akpom, who scored 21 goals in 42 appearances across youth levels, is determined to fight his way into Gernot Rohr’s side.
