Turkish giant Fenerbahce is set to be at loggerhead with its arch-rival Galatasaray to sign in-form Super Eagles striker, Henry Onyekuru in the summer.

Fanatik reported that Fener chieftains are determined to supplant their arch-rival in the transfer market and remain undeterred despite coach Fatih Terim’s plans to come up with important roles for Mert Hakan Yandaş and Henry Onyekuru in the new season structure.

Skorer was quoted as saying that Terim’s plans to raise a crack side ahead of next season may have hit the rock after Mert Hakan Yandaş deal slipped through his finger and the possibility of losing Onyekuru to Monaco.

It was stated that the experienced gaffer, who conveyed the development to club management, after the disruption Onyekuru’s, was very disturbed by the trend and he s also feeling uneasy with Fenerbahce’s interest in Onyekuru.

The former Everton forward has since returned to the Principles to commence negotiation on his future after his contract expired on July 1.
Onyekuru returned to Turkish league and Cup winners Galatasaray on loan from AS Monaco in January.

The 22-year-old forward failed to settle down at Monaco, where he failed to score in four appearances this season after his transfer from Premier League club Everton.
He then shone like million stars as ‘Gala’ won a league and cup double last season scoring 14 goals in 31 league appearances for Galatasaray.

On the one hand, on the other hand, Terim, who was troubled by the club’s failure to show the necessary reaction against referee errors in Galatasaray games, was reported to have been uneasy especially due to negative developments regarding Mert Hakan Yandaş and Onyekuru.
