Premier League giant West Ham want to rival West Brom for former Super Eagles skipper John Obi Mikel this summer.
The 33-year-old Nigeria legend is currently without a club having left outfit Trabzonspor by mutual consent in March after criticized the Turkish football administration for not suspending football action despite the pandemic coronavirus affecting humanity at large that forced European major league into suspension football activities.
According to Tribal Football claim that West Ham are already in talks with Mikel over a potential move to London Stadium despite Championship side, West Brom showing strong interest in former Chelsea midfielder.
Mikel has been linked with a move to Serie A’s newly promoted team Benevento, Brazilian Serie A side, Botafogo and Mexican clubs C.F. Monterrey and Tigres UANL also entered the race to sign him too.
Mikel has featured times for Trabzonspor in all competitions and scored three goals in the process before leaving Medical Stadium.
