For Super Eagles defender. Chidozie Awaziem what is worth doing is worth doing well.
In this light, Awaziem has given fresh assurances that Leganes will do all that is necessary to keep their top-flight status at the end of the season.
The centre-back made this assertion following Sunday’s hard-fought 1-0 away win against Espanyol,
Cristian Arubal got the all-important goal in the second half as Javier Aguirre’s men recorded their first win in six league outings.
The Cucumber Growers moved off the bottom of the table to 19th position following the win.
Awaziem, who replaced Aitor Ruibal nine minutes from time is confident they can avoid relegation at the end of the campaign.
“I believe in the team 100%. The spirit the guys are putting in the team is massive and I believe we are going to achieve our aim and beat the drop,” Awaziem told AOI Football.
“We are trying our best game by game and we showed huge character today so hopefully we can maintain this and turn it around in our remaining games.”
