News Super Eagles star Cyriel Dessers to joined Paul Onuachu and Stephen Odey’s Belgium club KRC Genk on a four-year contract.
The 25-year-old Belgian-born Nigerian forward has been attracting interest from European clubs following a brilliant season in Holland after finished Eredivisie’s joint topscorer with 15 goals and named in the team of the season alongside his compatriot Chidera Ejuke last campaign.
According to Het Laaste Nieuws claim that after several weeks of negotiations over a transfer fee with Dutch club Heracles, Genk have now agreed to pay four million Euros for Dessers to return to his country of birth.
Dessers is set to make his Super Eagles debut after he opted to play for Nigeria ahead of Belgium, where his father is from.
Meanwhile should transfer completed on July 1 Dessers will become the third Nigerian on the payroll of Genk as they already have Paul Onuachu and Stephen Odey.
