Manchester United continued preparation for the premier league restart with a 2-1 loss and 3-1 victory against Championship side, West Bromwich Albion at Old Trafford this evening.
Red Devils manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer play new signing Bruno Fernadez and Paul Pogba together for the first time this season and they produced a world class display – the game was worthy of a crowd.
Pogba has been injured for a longtime but returned during the suspension of football following the outbreak of the Covid-19 outbreak to the delight of United fans and coaching crew.
The friendly presented Solskjaer an opportunity to try Bruno and Pogba and they did not disappoint. Interestingly, Manchester United lost the first game to the Baggies 2-1 but bounced back during the second friendly which was played two hours later with a 3-1 victory.
They was a brace from Brazilian midfielder, Andreas Pereira and another by Netherland star Tahith Chong. The game afforded the Red Devils to continue building their fitness ahead of the premier league restart against Tottenham Hotspur.
Both matches were 90 minutes each and had some players feature in the two games with Solskjaer trying out a lot of the club’s youngsters.
