Messi had done specific work in the last few days because of a small contracture in the quadriceps of his right leg, but his presence in Barcelona’s match away at Real Mallorca on June 13 was never in doubt.
Manager Quique Setien was also able to call upon Nelson Semedo and Monchu, who had both been dealing with minor problems.
The only Barcelona player that is yet to return is Ousmane Dembele, who is still recovering from injury.
