Ludogorets to rival Chuba Akpom’s PAOK & Turkish Super Lig clubs for former Enugu Rangers striker Chikeluba Ofoedu this summer.
The 27-year-old goal machine has found back of the net ten times and created three assists from 24 appearances in all competitions for Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Ofoedu set to becomes a free agent when his current deal with Israeli giants Maccabi Tel Aviv expires at the end of the 2019-2020 campaign.
According to Sportal.bg claim that Ludogorets want to bring Nigerian striker to Bulgaria but face stiff competition from Greek side PAOK as well as teams based in Turkey.
The problem for Ludogorets is that Ofoedu does not have a European Union passport and there are five foreigners on the club’s payroll namely Rafael Forster, Dan Biton, Mavis Tchibota, Stéphane Badji and Taleb Tawatha.
It means a foreigner has to be axed from the roster to free up a non-EU slot for Ofoedu.
Ofoedu started his career with Enugu Rangers where scored 12 goals for Nigeria Professional Football League in the 2012 season before a spell at Trabzon, Karsiyaka, Samsunspor and Eskisehirspor in Turkey.
