Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has ruled out the signing of Real Madrid star Acraf Hakimi, according to reports.

The Real Madrid star is current at Borussia Dortmund and he has spent two seasons on loan with the German outfit and he is expected to return to Real Madrid to discuss his future with Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane.

Chelsea has already been in talks with the Moroccan star but the recent form of Reece James has seen the Stamford Bridge outfit slow down their interest in the £50million rated right-back.

The emergence of James has seen Lampard has a rethink on the signing of the Real Madrid defender, James has made 17 appearances in the Premier League this season and is battling to permanently dislodge captain Cesar Azpilicueta from his right-back position with Lampard believing that James has a great future ahead of him, meaning Chelsea have halted their efforts to sign Hakimi.
