Manchester United is considering a summer move for French forward Alassane Plea as an alternative if they fail to land Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho.
The 27-year-old Malian descent has enjoyed a stellar campaign with Borussia Monchengladbach after notching up eight goals and seven assists in 24 appearances in all competition prior to the coronavirus postponement.
Plea’s current deal with Die Borussen will run until the summer of 2023, but his side is supposedly bracing themselves for offers from the Premier League clubs.
According to The Mirror claim that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side is keeping tabs with France international and a host of potential attacking options, although Sancho looks to be their main priority.
The 20th Premier League Champions will to face stiff from Leicester City who has a long-standing interest in former Lyon winger which dates back to Claude Puel’s spell in charge at the King Power but would have to fork out a hefty fee for the striker’s services.
Plea has chalked up 23 goals in 59 appearances for Monchengladbach since arriving from Nice in 2018.
