Premier League club Aston Villa could reportedly miss out on the signing of talented Nigerian defender Paul Ibahadon due to issues with his international clearance.
The 15-year-old has been on trial with the Villans and had impressed enough for the club to offer him a two-year contract to remain with Premier League relegated battling side.
According to All Nigeria Soccer via Sport Moles claim that Aston Villa could not sign Ibahadon because of Dean Smith side unable to go through as his international clearance has not been processed.
Born in Italy, Ibahadon was playing for the youth team of Atalanta before his mother relocated to the United Kingdom for non-footballing reasons in August 2018 has been linked with Championship clubs, including West Bromwich Albion, Birmingham City and Nottingham Forest.
Ibahadon has pledged his future to Nigeria despite eligible to play internationally for Italy.
