Gunners captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang beat Super Eagles hopeful & others to Arsenal Player of the season.
The 30-year-old Gabon international has recorded 61 goals through 97 appearances for Arsenal since moving to Emirate Stadium from Borussia Dortmund Janaury 2018.
The poll for the Player of the Season was organised by Sky Sports who have been running a series of polls about the best players in the Premier League and at different clubs.
The fans voted Aubameyang as their Player of the Season after polling 69% of the total votes cast to emerge top.
After winning the Premier League’s Golden Boot last season alongside Liverpool duo Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, the Gabon star has continued to provide the goals for Arsenal.
The former African Player of the Year has netted 20 goals in 32 appearances this campaign for the Gunners.
Despite playing mostly from the left side of the Arsenal attack Aubameyang has contributed most of his side’s goals.
For Saka he has been one of the standout performers for Arsenal so far this season scoring three goals providing nine assists in 30 appearances in all competitions.
Another player who has stood out for Arsenal this season is their German goalkeeper Bernd Leno.
The 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup winner with Germany, has been the saviour for Arsenal in many games with series of world-class saves.
